Promotion Meeting Notes:

Hey everyone, as you all know the Promotion and Build teams held a meeting this last Wednesday, some people showed up, abut alot were missing. I'd just want to remind everyone that it's really REALLY important that we meet up as many times as we can during this week, as time is REALLY not on our side.

Heres what the Promo team discussed at the meeting:

• Since we don't have very much time, we need to get the word out there ASAP. The build team has confirmed that the project name is now BREAK THE LAW/MAKE SOME ART. So inlight of this name, we have decided to get a poster out ASAP promoting it. Since the words BREAK THE LAW are very eye catching, and will definatly get some attention, we decided that for our first poster, we are going to use that to our advantage. The poster will be a tabloid print (17" x 11") that will have a peice of police caution tape ripped, and in the middle, in large large type we are going to have "BREAK THE LAW" below it we will describe the exhibition, and the information on where it will be held etc.
• Mel has also come up with a great idea for "Take home art" playing ofthis idea, we planned on having a series of poster that should be up by the middle of next week. The series will be of Graffiti art. The posters will be long and narrow (8.25" x 14") Each poster will have different urban/graffiti style drawing on it. Because of this, we need ART. Any kind of urban art/graffiti art is very much appreciated. Cartoons, Characatures, Doodles! Anything is great. Line Drawings/Colored Line Drawings are prefered! • Our final promotional idea, will only be possible if we all work togther. Again, because time is limited, we need everyones participation! Basically, we'd like to play of the idea of paint cans and spray paint cans. Because of all the built up excitment from the 2 prior promotions, a couple days before the show, we wanted to infest the school with paint cans/spray cans as a type of publicity stunt. We would post all the information ON the cans themselves and leave them all around the lounges and public areas. We NEED to find where we can get old used paint buckets, paint tubs or spray paint cans. Any kind of spray can/arrasol can will do (hair spray, moose etc) but it should resemble spray paint cans. We will later plaster these with paint and post the info on them.
